A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE

DINE... SHOP...CELEBRATE!

MEMORIES ARE MADE HERE

Cortland is a small, charming community where neighbors know each other by name. In fact, the city website offers an innovative “People Finder” service that helps Cortland residents, both new and old, connect with one another. It’s also a place where art, culture, museums and a slew of family-oriented festivals and programs offer you amenities that rival those you’d expect from a much larger city.

Centrally located at the Eastern gateway to the Finger Lakes region of New York State, Historic Downtown Cortland is an ideal year round destination. Filled with local boutiques and unique eateries, downtown is a thriving arts and entertainment district that cordially welcomes visitors to Shop, Dine and Celebrate in Cortland County.

Please join us in Historic Downtown on October 1st and 2nd for the 21st Annual Great Cortland Pumpkinfest.  The free multi-day event is now preceded by Pumpkin Eve on Friday September 30th at Cortland Repertory Theatre.  Tickets for Pumpkin Eve are $30 with all proceeds supporting the Great Cortland Pumkinfest.  Available now at 64 Main Street The Little Pumpkin, 37 North Main The Local Food Market of online at YAPSODY

Our Mission:

The Cortland Downtown Partnership Inc. is dedicated to a more active, vibrant, and sustainable downtown.  We follow the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Main Street Four-Point Approach® and utilize it's principles as a unique economic development tool. The CDP's four Volunteer committees are the foundation of the local initiatives that are designed to revitalize our commercial district by leveraging local resources to maximize economic impact.  Our resources include a strong industrial heritage, architecturally significant buildings, an emerging identity in arts and entertainment and perhaps most notably a growing sense of community pride tied to our national exposure as a sport and recreation destination that has dubbed us the "Biggest Little Sports City in the Nation".

The Cortland Downtown Partnership was incorporated on January 20th 2006.  We are a membership organization comprised of downtown's stakeholders.  The success of our organization’s activities relies heavily on securing community wide financial and volunteer support for the promtion and enhancement of Historic Downtown Cortland.
