The Cortland Downtown Partnership is charged to enhance and promote the commercial and cultural offerings of Historic Downtown Cortland.

 

The Cortland Downtown Partnership is a membership driven 501(c) 3 organization that was incorporated on January 20th 2006.  We follow the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Main Street Four-Point Approach® and utilize it's principles as a unique economic development tool. The CDP's four Volunteer committees are the foundation of the local initiatives that are designed to revitalize our commercial district by leveraging local resources to maximize economic impact.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The success of the organization’s activities relies heavily on securing community wide financial and volunteer support for the promtion and enhancement of Historic Downtown Cortland.

 

 

OUR MISSION 

With your finacial and or inkind support we can continue to advance downtown's commerce and culture while preserving our heritage.  CDP membership levels offers individual residents, start up businesses, nonprofits and organizations as well as large established businesses and major employers the opportunity to get involved in supporting the heart of our community.

 

CORNERSTONE - $1,500 For our largest organizations and major employers.

• Logo and name in bold recognition with link in the Historic Downtown Cortland (HDC)

• One free month of kiosk advertising space; collaborative cable and print advertising opportunities and discounted workshops

• Social networking consultation; featured monthly social media highlight on Facebook and CDP webpage, sharing of page, events

• Assistance in drafting press releases to media

• Business Innovation Center services – space, mentorship, access to existing grants, and grant writing consultation

• Special promotions for Member Gift Certificate participants

 

ANCHOR - $250 For established businesses and non-profits.

• Name in bold recognition with link in the HDC e-newsletter

• Social networking consultation; featured monthly social media highlight on Facebook and CDP webpage, sharing of page, events

• Discounted kiosk advertising; collaborative cable and print advertising opportunities and discounted workshops as they arise

FOUNDATION - $125 For small non-profits and newly-formed businesses in their first year.

• Business Innovation Center services – space, mentorship, access to existing grants

• Assistance with grand opening events and marketing

COMMUNITY MEMBER - $50 For families and individuals

• Name recognition in the monthly Historic Downtown Cortland (HDC) e-newsletter

• Meeting space & equipment use

Economic Restructuring Committee- Meets the last Thursday of every month at 3 p.m. at 9 Main Street.

Promotion Committee- Meets the first Tuesday of every month at 8:30 a.
